The Chicago Cubs on Saturday recalled infielder Munenori Kawasaki from Triple-A Iowa.
Kawasaki, 35, joined the Cubs on a minor league contract this year and played in 24 spring training games, batting .367 with one home run, eight RBIs, and one stolen base.
He started the season in the minors but was called up as an injury replacement on April 8. In two major league games, he went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
