Jubilo Iwata have signed Australia-born Greece defender Avraam Papadopoulos, the J. League first-division club announced Wednesday.
The 184-cm 31-year-old played in the World Cup in 2010 and European Championship in 2012 for Greece while at Olympiakos. He was with China's Shanghai Shenhua last year.
Jubilo, back in J1 this season after three years in J2, sit ninth with 16 points after 12 games with four wins, four draws and four losses.
