Veteran Noriaki Kasai claimed the men's title at the Snow Brand Megmilk Cup for the first time on Saturday after the 43-year-old posted 264.5 points over two jumps.

Kasai, back in Japan temporarily from an overseas tour, placed second with his first 97.5-meter attempt before matching the day's longest effort of 99 meters to come from behind and claim victory on the K-90 hill at Miyanomori Ski Jump Stadium.

Daiki Ito, who soared 99 meters on his first jump, settled for second on 259.5 points and Kenshiro Ito was third.

In the women's competition, 19-year-old Sara Takanashi prevailed for her third title on 221.0 points.
