Tomoki Kameda defeated Pungluang Sor Singyu by seventh-round technical knockout on Saturday to defend his WBO bantamweight title for the second time.

Kameda floored the top-ranked Thai contender with a body blow to become the fifth Japanese fighter to win a title defense overseas and the only one other than Toshiaki Nishioka to do so in the United States.

"This was my best fight ever," said Kameda. "I was able to react and I think it was an excellent KO. It's a confidence builder to accomplish this in a ring in Las Vegas."
