J.League first-division side Shimizu S-Pulse announced Tuesday that forward Shun Nagasawa will have knee surgery and be out for eight months.
The 25-year-old Nagasawa has three goals in eight league games this season and two more in the Nabisco Cup. Nagasawa snapped the ACL in his right knee during Saturday's 4-0 victory over Tokushima Vortis.
S-Pulse are currently sixth in the league with 13 points from eight games.
