Mikey Marshall scored 34 points, including 14-for-16 shooting from the free-throw line and Gary Hamilton had 12 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists in the Shiga Lakestars' 101-93 victory over the host Oita HeatDevils on Tuesday.

Shiga improved to 9-3, the best record in the bj-league's Western Conference. Oita fell to 5-7.

The Lakestars' Masashi Joho, the league's highest-scoring Japanese player (16.3 points per game), bounced back from a four-point outing on Monday and contributed 14 points and three assists in the series finale. Yu Okada, meanwhile, had 12 points, reaching double digits in points for the third straight game for the first time this season, and former JBL forward Lamar Rice scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Oita's Matt Lottich led his team with 30 points and drained 5 of 9 3-pointers, while Taj Finger, a former Stanford forward, scored 25 and Damian Johnson added 23.

The HeatDevils were called for 27 personal fouls to Shiga's 12.
