In-form Chie Arimura held on to shoot a 3-under 69 and clinch her third title of the season at the NEC Karuizawa 72 on Sunday.

Teeing off one stroke clear, Arimura made a slow start to the final round and temporarily surrendered the lead to Yuko Mitsuka after bogeying the fifth hole at Karuizawa 72 Golf North Course in Nagano Prefecture.

But the 21-year-old, who won the Stanley Ladies in July and just missed out on back-to-back titles in Japan at last week's AXA Ladies, settled down and reclaimed pole position with four straight birdies from the eighth before going on to claim a wire-to-wire two-shot win on 10-under 206.

"Compared to the other times I have won, my form was not good and I was not confident," said Arimura, whose fourth career victory earned 10.8 million yen in prize money from the 60 million yen purse.
