OARAI, Ibaraki Pref. (Kyodo) Australia's Brendan Jones had the day's low round of 5-under 67 to hold a two-shot lead after the third round of the Mitsubishi Diamond Cup on Saturday.

Jones, an eight-time winner on the Japanese tour, had an eagle, five birdies and two bogeys to move to 2-under 214 at Oarai Golf Club.

Takashi Kanemoto (68), 54-year-old veteran Tsuneyuki Nakajima (69) and overnight leader Chawalit Plaphol (73) of Thailand shared second place.

Sitting three strokes off the lead are defending champion Prayad Marksaeng of Thailand and South Korea's Kim Kyung Tae, who both shot 71s.

Ryo Ishikawa (74) was tied with Shingo Katayama (75) in a group of nine at 8-over.
