Baltimore Orioles right-hander Koji Uehara dropped his third straight decision and Atlanta Braves right-hander Kenshin Kawakami lost his fourth consecutive start on Tuesday.

Uehara (2-3) was charged with six runs — three earned — on seven hits in 6-2/3 innings as the Orioles lost to the Tampa Bay Rays 6-3 at Tropicana Field. Rays second baseman Akinori Iwamura went 1-for-4 with a bunt single.

The Orioles built a 3-1 lead after five innings, but Uehara allowed Tampa Bay to tie the game in the sixth and gave up a go-ahead double to B.J. Upton before Evan Longoria hit a two-run single off reliever Jamie Walker in the seventh.

"Something is missing — probably my skills," Uehara said. "Things went wrong after I had runners on."
