YOKOHAMA (Kyodo) Free agent right-hander Daisuke Miura said Tuesday he will decide by this weekend whether to remain with the Yokohama BayStars or accept an offer from the Hanshin Tigers.
"I want to make my final decision by the end of this month. If I don't, then this is just going to drag on," said Miura after wrapping up negotiations with Yokohama.
The longtime Yokohama ace has a 124-122 record with a 3.51 earned run average in 17 seasons — all with the Central League club. He went 7-10 with a 3.56 ERA in 21 starts this past season.
