Urawa Reds have acquired former Brazil striker Washington from relegated Tokyo Verdy, officials of the J. League first-division club said Wednesday.
Washington finished second-top scorer in the J. League this season with 22 goals in 33 league appearances. Urawa will complete the signing of the burly 30-year-old subject to a medical next month.
Washington joined Verdy on a full transfer from Brazilian club Atletico Paranaense in December last year.
