Shingo Katayama slipped out of sole possession of the lead Saturday but remained on course to win his second tournament in as many weeks after shooting a 4-under-par 68 in the third round of the Asahi Ryokuken Yomiuri Memorial Open.

Katayama, the current money rankings leader and Japan Open champion, carded five birdies against a lone bogey to place him in a share of the lead with Satoru Hirota and Nozomi Kawahara on 14-under 202 at Iizuka Golf Club.

He could only pick up one shot through the first nine holes but found his rhythm after the turn to birdie the 11th, 14th and 17th.
