Seibu Lions outfielder Kazuhiro Wada singled home the go-ahead run in the seventh inning to help the West to a 9-8 come-from-behind win over the East in a Pacific League exhibition game Thursday.

Wada, who led the league with a .322 average this year, was named MVP of the game after driving in the opening run with a single in the first and hitting his second RBI single of the day in the seventh to give the West the lead for good at 7-6 at Kusanagi Stadium.

For the East, Toshiaki Imae of the Japan Series champion Lotte Marines hit a three-run homer in a five-run first inning, while his teammate Tsuyoshi Nishioka homered twice and drove in three runs.
