South Korean slugger Lee Seung Yeop hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning Saturday to lift the Chiba Lotte Marines to a 6-2 win over the Orix Buffaloes.

Saburo Omura drove in a pair of runs in the second inning at Chiba Marine Stadium on a single to right before Lee connected for his 24th homer of the season in the seventh to give Lotte a comfortable 6-1 lead.

With the victory, Bobby Valentine’s Marines pulled to within four games of the Softbank Hawks in the Pacific League standings.

Chiba Lotte starter Dan Serafini picked up the win after holding the Buffaloes to two runs on 11 hits over the distance.

Fighters 5, Hawks 4

At Sapporo Dome, Yukio Tanaka drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning, lifting Hokkaido Nippon Ham to a win over Softbank.

Tanaka’s single up the middle off Softbank reliever Takahiro Mahara capped a late rally for the Fighters. Michihiro Ogasawara tied the game in the bottom of the seventh with a three-run homer.

Lions 1, Eagles 0 (10)

At Invoice Seibu Dome, Yoshihito Ishii drove in the winning run with a double in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift Seibu over Tohoku Rakuten.

Lions starter Fumiya Nishiguchi tossed a no-hitter over nine innings before giving up a single in the top of the 10th inning to Yoshinori Okihara.


Tigers 5, Giants 2

At Koshien Stadium, Tomoaki Kanemoto hit a pair of solo homers to power league-leading Hanshin to victory over Yomiuri.

Andy Sheets gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead in the first inning with a two-run homer to left. Kanemoto widened the lead to 3-0 in the same frame with his first of two solo homers as the Tigers snapped a three-game skid.

Yuya Ando gave up two runs on seven hits over six innings for the win.

Swallows 3, BayStars 2

At Jingu Stadium, Yuichi Matsumoto drove in the winning run on a single up the middle in the bottom of the ninth to lift Yakult to a walkoff victory over Yokohama.

Hirotoshi Ishii picked up the win after holding the BayStars scoreless in the top of the ninth.

Dragons 7, Carp 5

At Nagoya Dome, Kosuke Fukudome hit a two-run homer and Hirokazu Ibata connected for a grand slam as Chunichi scored six runs in the sixth inning on its way to victory over Hiroshima.

Dragons starter Shigeki Noguchi gave up two runs on five hits over 5 1/3 innings. Yoshihiro Suzuki picked up the win after recording the final two outs in the sixth inning.
