Holders Urawa Reds came back from an early deficit to beat JEF United Ichihara 2-1 to reach the quarterfinals of the J. League Nabisco Cup on the final day of first-round clashes Saturday.

League champion Yokohama F. Marinos, Gamba Osaka, Shimizu S-Pulse and Kashima Antlers also booked their places in the last eight, joining Tokyo Verdy, FC Tokyo and Nagoya Grampus Eight, who had already advanced past the group stage.
