Keita Umezaki of Meiji University earned 230.5 points to win the ski jumping competition on the normal hill at the national championships Sunday for the first time in his career.

Umezaki recorded jumps of 88 and 92 meters on the K-90 hill at Miyanomori Schanze in Sapporo and became the first university student in 27 years to win a national title on the normal hill.
