NAGOYA – The Chunichi Dragons are hoping to acquire Yokohama BayStars right-hander Domingo Guzman, officials of the Nagoya-based club said Sunday.
Chunichi said the deal with Guzman, who was to leave the BayStars at the end of this season, was almost a lock and would help bolster the pitching staff since right-hander Akinori Otsuka’s is expected to join the San Diego Padres via the posting system.
