The Hanshin Tigers have acquired Waseda University infielder Takashi Toritani as a pre-draft pick, the Central League team said Saturday.
Hanshin official Kunio Takeda said Toritani, one of the hottest prospects of all position players, will receive a signing bonus of 100 million yen plus performance incentives of up to 50 million yen. He has agreed to an annual salary of 15 million yen.
