Daisuke Maruyama stayed on course for the first victory of his career with a 5-under-par 67 after the third round of the Bridgestone Open on Saturday.

A co-leader from the first round, Maruyama knocked down six birdies against a lone bogey for a 54-hole total of 17-under 199 and was joined in first place by Australian Paul Sheehan, who grabbed a share of the lead with his second 66 of the week at Sodegaura Country Club.
