Overnight leader Miho Koga held off a final-round charge from money rankings leader Yuri Fudo to capture the first title of her career at the Yonex Ladies Open on Sunday.

Koga had two birdies and as many bogeys in an even-par 72 at Yonex Country Club, enough to see off fellow Kumamoto native Fudo, amateur Ai Miyazato and Kaori Higo by two strokes with a 54-hole total of 9-under 207.

Tajima bags first win

SHIMA, Fukuoka Pref. (Kyodo) Soshi Tajima maintained the lead he took from the first round on and never looked back, equaling the day's second-best score with a 5-under-par 67 to capture his first victory on the tour at the Hisamitsu-KBC Augusta Golf Tournament on Sunday.

Tajima carded six birdies against a lone bogey at Keya Golf Club for a 72-hole total of 19-under 269 to win with a four-stroke advantage over Hisayuki Sasaki and Fiji's Dinesh Chand and pocket the 20 million yen prize money.
