Kazuhiro Wada went 4-for-4, homering in consecutive at-bats, while driving home six runs for the Lions as Seibu downed the Chiba Lotte Marines 8-3 at Seibu Dome on Wednesday for their fourth straight win.

Seibu ace Daisuke Matsuzaka (11-4) went the distance on 114 pitches, walking none while striking out three. He gave up a solo homer to Tomoya Satozaki in the eighth — eight hits all together — for his first win since June 22.

Down 1-0 in the first inning, Seibu scored three runs on back-to-back RBI doubles by Wada and Alex Cabrera.

Wada belted a two-run homer to cap a three-run second inning, then led off the fourth inning with a solo homer — his 21st dinger of the year. He added a run with an RBI double in the sixth.

Marines lefty Koji Takagi (1-6) had a shaky outing, pitching to four batters and giving up three runs before being pulled for a reliever without getting any out.

Lotte suffered its third loss in a row and fifth straight against Seibu.
