Tokyo subway plan to come up again
The revised plan for the construction of subways in Tokyo, calling for ¥187 million, is expected to come up for discussion by the Tokyo Municipal Assembly next month, according to reports published in the Asahi. It is reported the officials seek to finance the project by a giant bond issue and that Government authorities are proving slow in favoring the plan because of the general retrenchment policy now being followed.
