Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and U.S. President Donald Trump will meet Sunday on the sidelines of a Group of Seven summit in France's Biarritz, both governments said Saturday.

The two leaders are expected to focus on bilateral trade after top negotiators from both countries agreed on the broad outlines of a trade agreement, boosting the likelihood that a deal will be reached in September.

Rising tensions in the Middle East and North Korea, which again fired short-range ballistic missiles into the Sea of Japan early Saturday, are also seen high on the agenda of the meeting.
