Honda Motor Co. will end car production in Turkey in 2021 after the completion of existing manufacturing operations for the Civic Sedan model.
The automaker said Monday the move is needed to ensure appropriate production capacity amid developments in the electrification field in the global auto industry.
Honda said it will shut down the Turkey plant and provide re-employment and other kinds of support to about 1,100 employees affected by the decision.
