A hotel set to open Saturday near Kyoto Station aims to support foreign visitors in nine languages to attract more customers amid the current tourism boom.

Staff at the Daiwa Royal Hotel Grande Kyoto can speak Japanese, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Russian, Chinese and Korean. The facility, operated by Daiwa Resort Co., a unit of Daiwa House Group, says that this allows it to host visitors from about 120 countries.

Bedrooms at the hotel cost around ¥20,000 per night on average. The most expensive suite is about ¥280,000 per night.

Several other new hotels are set to open near Kyoto Station, including those run by West Japan Railway Co. (JR West) and Keihan Holdings Co.
