WASHINGTON – U.S. President Donald Trump told Ukraine’s president on Tuesday that he hoped to see a resolution to the country’s crisis but stopped short of publicly endorsing a 2015 accord calling for Russia’s exit from eastern Ukraine.
Trump sat down in the Oval Office with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko for talks that were officially called a drop-by visit after the Ukrainian leader’s separate session with Vice President Mike Pence.
