An animator from Chiba Prefecture has won this year's Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Award for outstanding individual achievement in animation, according to the organizer of the event.

Yasuhiro Motoda, 35, was given the prestigious U.S. award for daytime television production for his work as a character animator for "Transformers Prime Beast Hunters," a program on Hub Network, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences said.

Motoda is affiliated with Polygon Pictures Inc., a digital animation studio in Tokyo. He was among eight individuals recognized in the animation section of the award.
