An outlet mall opened Friday in Shisui, Chiba Prefecture, targeting foreign visitors and people in the greater Tokyo area.

Shisui Premium Outlets, run by Mitsubishi Estate-Simon Co., is about 12 km southwest of Narita airport and has 121 stores, including eight foreign brands opening their first outlets in Japan.

The 200,000-sq.-meter mall features a currency exchange counter and a flight information board for tourists.

The operator is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Estate Co. and U.S. shopping mall developer Simon Property Group Inc.
