U.S. online retailer Amazon.com Inc. on Tuesday started selling its Kindle Fire HD tablet computer in Japan.
The Kindle Fire HD, which features a high-resolution 7-inch liquid crystal display, is priced at ¥15,800 for the 16-gigabyte model. It is capable of accessing Wi-Fi networks.
The tablet computer competes with Apple Inc.’s iPad mini and Google Inc.’s Nexus 7.
