NTT Urban Development Corp., a Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. arm, said Wednesday its British subsidiary, UD Europe Ltd., has acquired a seven-story office building in the City of London for £42.9 million, or ¥5.36 billion.

The 20 Finsbury Circus building, which provides a combined 8,029-sq.-meter floor space for rent in the financial and commercial district in the heart of London, was acquired from City of London Corp.

The building, adjacent to Finsbury Circus, the biggest park in the City, is in the neighborhood of Liverpool Street Station and will be directly adjacent to a new station on the new Crossrail transportation system, which will cross London from east to west when the system opens for service in 2018, NTT Urban Development said.
