A battered headless body of an adult male was found Friday morning in a factory parking lot in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, police said.

They suspect it was dragged there from an accident site around 25 km away. The body was found by a 68-year-old company employee where a truck had been parked before leaving at around 3:30 a.m., the police said.

This truck could have dragged the body from the site where another truck may have hit someone, they said. About an hour earlier, the police found bloodstains on a section of National Road 134 in Chigasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, about 25 km from the parking lot.

The police were notified by a 51-year-old driver of another truck that he had felt an impact and may have hit someone.
