Fujitsu Ten Ltd., a major manufacturer of car navigation systems in the Fujitsu Ltd. group, said Wednesday it will end production assembly at its main plant in Kobe by the end of May and shift it to its plants in Wuxi, China, and a plant in Oyama, Tochigi Prefecture.
It will transfer some 300 regular employees from the Kobe plant to its factories in Oyama and Nakatsugawa, Gifu Prefecture, while dismissing some 250 nonregular employees by not renewing their contracts.
