Honda Motor Co. is considering manufacturing motorcycles with engines bigger than 400cc in Thailand to lower costs and increase market penetration in emerging economies, sources said Monday.

Production of the motorcycles, which are normally aimed at first-time buyers, would thus shift to a Honda plant situated in a Bangkok suburb in the second half of the 2012 business year, the sources said.
