The National Police Agency has awarded American TV producer and celebrity Dave Spector a certificate of appreciation for his role in its campaign against human-trafficking and child abuse.

Spector acts as an official celebrity spokesman for a hotline the agency set up that allows callers to anonymously pass on information about human-trafficking and child abuse cases.

The Chicago native promoted the campaign on TV programs and also appeared in a poster advertising the hotline.

"It's really nice to 'turn myself in' to the NPA for such a good occasion," Spector said Friday after receiving the certificate of appreciation from Mitsuaki Iwase, who heads the agency's Community Safety Bureau.
