Nissan Motor Co. has suspended vehicle production at its Egypt plant to protect its employees as massive protests continue to rock the nation, Nissan officials said Monday.
The suspension will last through Thursday and be extended if the situation deteriorates, the officials said.
Nissan also told its four Japanese employees based in the country to leave, the officials said.
Nissan makes about 10,000 vehicles a year at the factory.
