Studio Ghibli's latest film, "Karigurashi no Arrietty" ("The Borrower Arrietty"), will be released in South Korea next month, marking the first regular screenings outside Japan, promoters said Thursday.

The film, based on a story written by Hayao Miyazaki that was inspired by Mary Norton's "Borrowers" novels, will be shown at around 300 theaters in Seoul, Busan and other cities starting Sept. 9 amid the growing popularity of works produced by the Tokyo-based animation company.
