NAGOYA (Kyodo) A 52-year-old Aichi prefectural official accused of touching a woman with his leg on a crowded train was acquitted Monday by the Nagoya District Court, which ruled it could not determined if his actions were intentional.

The official was indicted for rubbing his leg against the woman from behind on a train in Nagoya on Dec. 8, 2008.

"The train was crowded and was lurching significantly at the time," presiding Judge Osamu Ito ruled. "It can be recognized that the defendant's leg touched her body, but it cannot be said he did this intentionally."
