OSAKA (Kyodo) Prosecutors called for the death sentence Wednesday for a Chinese woman charged with killing her Japanese husband and two other men in an alleged scheme to inherit the husband's assets.

Yin Lina, 53, has pleaded not guilty at the Osaka District Court, denying she murdered her 77-year-old husband, Zenichiro Kato, at their home in Osaka around October 2001 to obtain his assets. Kato's body has never been found.

She is also accused of killing 71-year-old Kiyoshi Takagi and 69-year-old Akira Kondo between around December 2001 and February 2002.
