Former actor and singer Manabu Oshio was handed a fresh arrest warrant Monday for his alleged failure to act appropriately to save the life of a woman who died after he gave her the synthetic drug MDMA, police said.

Oshio, 31, was indicted a week ago on a charge of giving the drug, commonly known as Ecstasy, to Kaori Tanaka, a 30-year-old bar employee, who was found dead after spending time with him at a Tokyo apartment Aug. 2.
