TV anchor and brain expert Kenichiro Mogi failed to declare some ¥400 million in taxable income for the three years through 2008, sources said Tuesday.

The Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau notified Mogi, 47, about his failure and he has reportedly submitted an amended tax return, the sources said. The bureau is expected to impose more than ¥100 million in back taxes.

Mogi, on the payroll of Sony Computer Science Laboratories Inc., did not declare outside income such as book royalties and payments for lectures between 2006 and 2008, the sources said.
