HIROSHIMA (Kyodo) A group of residents in Hiroshima Prefecture on Thursday won a lawsuit against a public works project they said would spoil the scenery of a fishermen’s district known for its well-preserved historical buildings and facilities.

It is the first court ruling to block a public works plan for the sake of local scenery.
