HIROSHIMA (Kyodo) A metallic object suspected to be a bullet was sent to NHK's Hiroshima bureau on Monday and included the name "Sekihotai," the group that claimed responsibility for a fatal attack on an Asahi Shimbun bureau in 1987, the police said.

The case follows a series of similar events in February in which packages containing rifle bullets were sent to NHK's Tokyo headquarters and bureaus in Sapporo, Nagano and Fukuoka.

NHK said the metallic object in the latest case also appears to be a rifle bullet.

An envelope containing the object and a piece of paper with the word "Sekihotai" printed on it was delivered to the bureau at 10 a.m., the police said.
