Prime Minister Taro Aso visited the South Korean Embassy in Tokyo on Tuesday to sign a book of condolences for former President Roh Moo Hyun, who apparently committed suicide over the weekend.
Aso laid white chrysanthemums in front of a picture of Roh and bowed deeply. He then extended his condolences to South Korean Ambassador Kwon Chul Hyun, according to the embassy.
The 62-year-old Roh apparently jumped to his death from a cliff behind his home on Saturday morning.
