Nakatani's daughter, Konomi, 20, escaped the house with a minor injury.

Two women were found dead Monday morning in a condominium in Ikeda, Osaka Prefecture, after police received a call from a young man who said he had killed one of his parents.

The victims are thought to be Sumie Abe, 48, and her daughter, Hitomi, 19, both of whom were apparently strangled, according to the police.

They launched a search for Abe's missing 27-year-old son.
