Ryo Nishikido, a member of the pop idol group News, caused a rear-end accident while driving on an expressway in Minato Ward, Tokyo, injuring a woman in another car, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Police suspect that Nishikido, 24, may have not been paying full attention while caught in heavy traffic when the accident occurred at around 3:45 p.m Sunday.
Nishikido's car bumped into the car in front, which in turn collided with the car ahead of it, according to the police. The woman in the car hit by Nishikido's vehicle suffered minor injuries, the police said.
