Apparel maker Onward Kashiyama Co. said Monday it will donate ¥10 million from wool product sales to an Australian environmental protection group.

The company said it will donate the money to the Australian Landcare Management Certification System, a nonprofit organization in New South Wales, for use in environmental protection activities.

The company said Australia is the world's largest wool producer for clothing, but production has been declining in recent years due to droughts amid global warming.
