Popular prizewinning actress Rie Miyazawa has announced that she is getting married and is six months pregnant.
In a faxed message Friday, Miyazawa, 35, who was awarded best actress at the Moscow International Film Festival in 2001, only described her husband-to-be as a man she first met in late 2007 and who is not from the entertainment industry.
"I will create a family that has plenty of originality together with him and our child," Miyazawa said. Despite her pregnancy, Miyazawa is performing onstage in "Piper," directed by Hideki Noda, at a Tokyo theater. The show will last through Feb. 28.
