Hino Motors Ltd. will cease production at its truck plant in Hino, Tokyo, for as much as nine days next month due to poor vehicle sales, company officials said Thursday.

The truck and bus maker also plans to suspend operations of production lines for small trucks at a factory in Hamura, Tokyo, and a truck engine plant in Ota, Gunma Prefecture. Work will cease at Hamura for six days and at the Gunma facility for six or nine days, depending on the kind of operation, they said.
