The global economic crisis could result in 85,012 nonregular employees, particularly temporary workers, losing their jobs between October and next March, the government said Friday.

The number is up around 55,000 from the previous estimate, which was based on a survey conducted in November by the Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry.
