Fuji Television Network Inc. and Recruit Co. said Friday they have reached a tieup agreement, including the TV broadcaster's acquisition of a 0.5 percent stake in the job information provider, to reinforce their alliance.

Fuji TV will purchase 300,000 Recruit shares for 2.7 billion yen on June 15 for the capital tieup, the two companies said.

The agreement also calls for Fuji TV and Recruit to study ways to combine their respective services and develop content for next-generation terrestrial digital broadcasting services.

The two companies set up a joint company, Connaitre Inc., last December to provide so-called one segment terrestrial digital broadcasts for mobile phones.
